Graffiti & chewing gum removal in Bristol
Graffiti left up gets tagged again. We remove it from stone, brick, render, cladding and paving using the method that suits the surface — usually within the week, and often within a day or two for a customer-facing frontage.
Method matters more than pressure
Graffiti removal goes wrong when someone attacks it with a pressure washer. On brick and stone that leaves a clean patch shaped exactly like the tag, which is arguably worse than the tag. On render it strips the surface.
The right approach depends on what is underneath: a poultice or solvent gel on porous stone, a controlled hot-water method on masonry, and careful spot treatment on painted or coated surfaces. We match it to the substrate and test a small area first on anything unusual.
- Safe on listed and period stonework
- No ghosting or clean patches where possible
- Anti-graffiti coatings available on repeat-target sites
- Before and after photographs supplied

Public realm work with the route kept open
Chewing gum removal
Gum is a slow problem. It builds up in entrances, on terraces and under seating until the paving looks permanently stained, and by then a general wash will not shift it.
Entrances & walkways
The first thing a customer walks over. Usually the worst affected area on any site.
Terraces & smoking areas
Gum plus grease plus foot traffic. Cleaned out of hours so trading is unaffected.
Public realm & retail
Larger areas priced per square metre, worked behind barriers with the route kept open.
Common questions
How fast can you come out?
Usually within the week, and often sooner for a customer-facing frontage or anything offensive. Send a photo and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Will it leave a clean patch?
On a heavily soiled wall, removing graffiti can leave the treated area lighter than its surroundings. We will tell you if that is likely before we start, and the usual answer is to clean the whole elevation rather than just the tag.
Can you treat listed or period stone?
Yes, using conservation-appropriate methods rather than pressure. Bristol and Bath have a lot of soft stone that punishes the wrong approach, so tell us what it is when you enquire.
Do you offer anti-graffiti coatings?
Yes. On sites that get tagged repeatedly, a sacrificial or permanent coating makes future removal far quicker and cheaper. Worth it if you are cleaning the same wall more than once a year.
Do you work for councils and managing agents?
Yes. We are fully insured, supply site-specific RAMS before works, and can invoice against a purchase order.
