Commercial render cleaning in Bristol
Rendered commercial buildings and blocks go green fast in the South West. We soft wash K-Rend, silicone and monocouche render so it comes back to colour and stays that way, without the damage pressure washing causes.
Why render must not be pressure washed
Render is a thin decorative coat. High pressure blows the surface off it, opens up hairline cracks and drives water into the substrate. The building looks better for one summer and considerably worse for the next several years, and re-rendering an elevation costs many multiples of cleaning it.
Soft washing uses a low-pressure biocide that kills the algae, lichen and biological growth at the root. It takes longer on the day and lasts four to six times as long.
- No pressure against the render face
- Kills the growth rather than removing the visible part
- Biodegradable products, safe around planting
- Colour comes back rather than being stripped

Common questions
How long does soft washed render stay clean?
Typically several years rather than a single season, because the treatment kills the growth rather than removing the visible part of it. Buildings that are shaded or close to trees will need it sooner.
Will it damage the render?
No. That is the entire point of soft washing. It is the pressure washing approach that damages render, and the damage often does not show until the following winter.
Can you reach upper floors?
Yes, from the ground in most cases using reach-pole equipment, or with a MEWP where the building needs it. We tell you which at survey stage.
Is it safe around planting and drainage?
Products are biodegradable and used at controlled dilution. We protect planting and manage runoff. Tell us about sensitive drainage at survey stage and we plan for it.
